About Oregon Flower Growers Association

Oregon Flower Growers Association (OFGA) operates the Grower’s Market inside the Portland Flower Market. As a grower-owned and self-governing association, we provide a year-round, cooperative marketplace where local farmers can offer wholesale and trade customers fresh flowers, plants, greens, and related products.

Our growers each have their own dedicated stall within the Grower’s Market—similar to a farmer’s market environment—with many growers present in person to greet customers, answer questions, and share the story behind their products. You’ll find the majority of growers on-site early on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.

Wholesale customers may purchase directly from growers or through the central market check-out desk, which provides added convenience when growers are away from their stalls.

Our History

Founded in 1941, Oregon Flower Growers Association has a long and proud history supporting local flower and plant growers. Some of our original charter members are still active today, continuing a legacy that spans generations.

Until 1989, OFGA operated within the former Flower Market building on SE Grand Avenue. In September 1989, the current Portland Flower Market facility was completed on Swan Island. The new building spans over 120,000 square feet, with OFGA occupying 20,000 square feet at the center of the market. Organized along the lines of a farmers market, each grower maintains their own stall where they display and sell their locally grown products.

For over 85 years, OFGA has remained committed to local agriculture, community connection, and supporting the region’s floral industry.
